coloring Photoshop

Recently i was reading The Breaker, and i found few pages that i wanted to have in color, effect

i am not satisfied, i want to give it better colors
can u advice me some tutorials with coloring in PS??

You need to make tons of layers to color that ^^

If you already know how to put colors in that image
then all you need to make better color result is to use Hue/Saturation

how you made black lines to disapear?;D
i was trying to select only black lines from hairs and i messed everything;D
but in the end thx to my stubornes i improved my colored pic;D
but it is still not what i want;D
and i have some background problems;D

When color the hair or anything else you should not color beyond its border line
