For those who love K-On (or even if you don't), here is something that might be of interest to you.

It haz options for desktop wallpaper, system sound modifications (features character voices), desktop clock, desktop calendar, desktop mascots, cursor and icon modifiers.
The link will direct you to download a .zip file, just extract it, run the setup and it's complete!

Note:
The mascots (Mio, Ritsu, Yui, Azusa and Mugi) roam around your desktop, walking here and there. It also includes the tea table, which is where you put them in case you're pretty much annoyed. Clicking, draggin, or hovering over them will make them talk.
Oh, and I don't own this application. I've found it somewhere before.. I just forgot.

Try downloading during Megaupload's Happy hour at around erm.. it's around 5pm for my time zone.. go click on Megaupload's site it'll tell you..
Anyway it's unlimited free parallel downloads at max speed or so it says during happy hour. I'm not sure about the max speed though it is faster.

Just like it says, it's for your system.
For example, if you choose a voice, then click the first button below (I just kept on trying until I got it, so I don't know which button is really which), then the voice file you chose will become the welcome sounds, when you open your PC.
There are also sounds for signing off, receiving mail, and I-don't-know-what-else.
(I can't read those stuff)

oh. Kawaii~ >.< Im already using it. Thanks for posting this app. But.. How am I going to change the language?? Cant seem to understand whats written in the options/menu. Like for example, when i right-click them. Some weird characters were appearing. Mostly question marks. Wew. I hope I can get a response ASAP. Arigatou Gozaimasen..

I can't believe I haven't replied to this thread O_O I downloaded this thing like a year ago? XD and well all I could say is it was fun to play around the desktop buddies XD I'd usually just drag the characters around and watch them walk around my desktop for a few mins...I still have the files but I haven't used them in awhile. I did find something useful there though. The download also contains short audio clips of the characters saying something like ohayou or mata ne~ can be useful as ringtones as well XD
