I just found out a way to increase the chances to breed Shinies:

Also I got a Japanese(still not confirmed) Ditto from the GTS. Just put yours or one that you caught in it and ask for any level Ditto.

You go downstairs of the Pokemon center and they should give you a Pal Pad which lets you register Friend Codes. I can't explain it too well

That's what I did for my Japanese Ditto, which is now confirmed that it is.
To check, go to your PokeDex and when you open it, before each name, it will say Eng(or whatever language your game is in) and the pokemon that is foreign should have an option to change languages.

Yea I hear breeding a shiny pokemon has a higher chance of an egg shiny pokemon, about 50% in the Japanese Version and 12% in all others.

Also, at manga, you're saying that my Gold Caterpie can breed with the Japanese Ditto to have better chances to get a Gold Caterpie?

Yea, I believe so, I haven't tested it myself though. In fact ive never encountered a non-hacked shiny pokemon besides the red gyrados at all.

DS doesn't have the best Online Connectivity, I think you have to buy a special accessory in most cases if your LAN doesn't have password protection.

I don't think that works, but who knows, it's at least worth the try. I have a lot of forgein pokemon on my pokemon diamond obtained through GTS, I think I'll try to get a shiny milotic or charizard ^^

red..my brother capture shiny sableye at GBA pokemon sapphire..we caught at the cave..it just accidentally..we just like to go to wall of the cave and suddenly appeared a blast of sparkles from it..and sableye was captured using ultra ball..it just a lucky charm i guess...

I have like 4 boxes full of shiny pkmn from the GTS a loooooooong time ago when I used to play, GTS is way easier to get shiny pkmn imo
