I AM PISSED!!!
Heres the problem:
I had a group report due on Sunday Night, I finished my part of the report on Saturday morning and sent it through Microsoft outlook as usual.
That day I read a couple of other emails, the next day I also read a couple of emails through outlook.
TODAY, Monday, I get a message from outlook saying that my email has been sent. I'm like "bull...." I check the sent time and the email I wrote on Saturday morning was sent this morning at 7:30 am. :emhh44:
As you can guess the rest of my group was not happy.
Currently I'm trying to get evidence that I wrote and sent the email manually on Saturday.
Anyone know how I can check?
Also anyone have any guess as to why the email was delayed?
I never use the delay message option and I was receiving emails so it was not on offline mode.

Well, you could open your Event Viewer (start -> run -> type "eventvwr") -> MS Office Sessions and you'll have the date/time stamp of your Outlook session.
I'm assuming that your connection just dropped, and you probably have Cached Exchange Mode on, so it probably saved your e-mail as a draft, and it never got delivered until you resumed Internet connection....
But, you say you were receiving messages, so who knows. Check your Sync errors in your Folder List view...

Thanks but the sessions aren't specific enough.
The strange thing I realized is that I was able to view my emails specifically from the address that Outlook sends my emails.
Which means Outlook DID have connection to the server but still didn't send my email...
This is confusing me.

Yeah, I don't know what you mean by "was able to view my e-mails specifically from the address that Outlook sends my emails...."
Did you check your Sync Issues folder? It might give you your date/time stamp you are looking for. Also, did you verify that when your e-mails were "sent," they didn't go to the "outbox" folder and went to the "sent" folder instead?
I betcha your e-mail was interrupted, got saved as a draft (autosave feature in Outlook), went to the Outbox, and never got sent. Next time you opened Outlook, the e-mail got delivered.
Regardless of what happened, you're late with your work. Sorry, buddy. If anything, you can always check the "date modified" and "date created" date/time stamps on your report (say a word document, etc.) through Windows Explorer.

On Outlook you assign an email address from where you send your emails. So each time you make a new email, its always leaving from that address.
I was able to view the emails that were sent to the address which means I should have been able to send via that address.
Which also means interruptions were not the cause.
I remember this clearly because I got an email addressed to all group members as a reminder to send the report on time and reading it and thinking "I already did it, I'm all set". This reminder was sent to the address I tried to send from.
I'm looking specifically for a log which states that I worked on it and pressed "send" on Saturday. Event Viewer logs record that I had connection at the time and it also does not record when I send things.
The report was written on the email itself.
I also had the option of send emails immediately when connected.
It didn't go to the outbox but it was delayed a full two days leaving no records of why, such BS.

Heh, you mean an e-mail account. Whatever Outlook client you're using (XP, 2003, 2007, etc...) uses either POP3, IMAP, or MS Exchange to retrieve your e-mails that are assigned to your e-mail account/mailbox.
Your proof should really be your SENT e-mail copy, since that tells you when your e-mail message actually left your mailbox. However, since you're trying to prove that you sent it at a different time, then your other piece of evidence is the Outlook Journal. It should track what you were doing in your Outlook client. However, if you don't have this enabled by default, then it won't do you any good.
Sorry buddy, but if I were you, I would just suck it up and take responsibility of not making it on time. Unfortunate circumstances happen, so you just gotta man up.

The damage is already done, its just proving to the rest of the group (friends) that I did actually do it. Its not a matter of "manning up". Thanks for the help but all I wanted was to know if it was possible to see a log and to prevent it from happening again.
