This just got in to my mind earlier :)

Firefox
-The latest version is 3.6
-High speed and top rated internet browser
-Many function
-Streaming is not a problem even 2 things is being stream
-Tabs
-High reputation
-Small cases of virus collected by computer
-Have own search engine (mozilla firefox google)
-Have own page
-Different skins
-Can be use by any computer
-Free to download
-Can be use even your computer is not genuine

Internet Explorer
-The latest version is IE9
-Popular internet browser
-Have many function but not more than firefox
-Tabs
-Known by many peoples
-Higher cases of virus collected by computer
-Don't have different skin
-Not for free to download
-IE7 is free but not updated
-IE8 and IE9 can only be use by genuine's
-Normal internet browser set in a computer

So which do you prefer 6 out of 10 people say's that Firefox is the best :) I'm one :)

I use Firefox for OS and Chrome for reading manga, mainly because I bookmark way to many pages so having a browser for each purpose is a convenient way to keep order in things :D

Because everything you describe always has something wrong.
IE is free, every version is free, it has always been free and updated as long as you have a windows.

IE 8 is free to the public, IE 9 does not exist, it is still in development.


But Firefox is better than IE but I like Chrome better than both.
Its faster than Firefox and IE.

EDIT: Another advantage of IE over Chrome and Firefox is that in windows 7, you can view multiple tabs at once by putting your mouse over the IE icon.

I agree with darkpoetry regarding the content of "facts" in this thread. Also, why only these two web browsers? What happened to Opera or even Safari? I'm not much of a fan of Google Chrome, but it's nice to know that there is another option out there.

I use Internet Explorer 7 and 8. I'm fine with it. I use Firefox 3.5.7 and 3.6.0, and I'm fine with them too. I don't really see a "performance" boost, but I just like the way they both layout websites.

Funny enough, I actually prefer Lynx :D

Uhh... there is no IE9.. 8 is the lastest one atm. 9 will come out later this year in March maybe. I personally like IE over firefox. I also use Chrome one in awhile, loving the anime themes you can add to them. <3

Well i prefer IE over firefox is that i can easily find updates for software's that im using for my browser. like flashget, Freedownload manager, Realplay(crack version,free version). and mostly i can easily RiP vids,Music using IE^^

and i dont have any worries about catching virus/trojan/Spyware using IE. because im very careful of the sites that i enter, and if my sister's need to use the PC.. I always make them use the sandbox'd IE for safety reasons..

I use different internet browsers depending on the purpose.

For some annoying reasons, some of my SQL programming doesnt show proper content on Mozilla Firefox. Icons and content are all in wrong places so I use Internet Explorer 8 on viewing Java programmed sites.

I use Mozilla Firefox for easy access on tabs and contents. Easy interface.

I use Google Chrome as default browser for pop ups. No special reason. So that I have a variety of browsers.

I use Opera browser on my Nintendo Wii (not related to computers)

I like Mozilla Firefox better than IE because its has functions that IE don't have. Like Down-them-all in the add-ons, it is useful in downloading mangas in onemanga. If you want to try other browser, my suggestion is Flock. It's faster than mozilla.

There is no contest really. IE is literally the worst browser out there today...FF is miles above it. The fact that FF is open-source and it already has a massive fanbase means it will continue to always be the most popular and most user-friendly browser. It's always updated by the mozilla team and there's always people thinking up new addons for that expand on FF and make it even better.

The add-ons alone make it better than the others (and definitely better than IE)

There is a competition that they do every year, I forget what its called. What they do is companies summit their lastest browser and groups of hackers try to break the browser.

For two years in a row there was only ONE browser out of the dozens that has not been able hacked; that was Google's Chrome. They are the top target for hackers next year.

I believe in the lastest competition Safari was broken in under 1 min lol
Both IE and Firefox took a couple of hours to hack.
We discussed in our computer science class recently, I'll try post the link to the competition.

IE is known to people as buggy heavy etc. browser... IE eats alot of memory compared to Mozilla and chrome. then disadvantage of IE is that if you have smaller ram the browser gets laggy like if you watch vids and stuff it freezes for a couple of seconds.. lol.. compared to Mozilla you can modify the theme, modify the settings so that it can load faster. + its not heavy...

I just installed Firefox 2.0 and I absolutely love it! I was using IE7 and it was forever "not responding" with every website and link I would enter. Microsoft is going to have to come up with something short of spectacular for me to ever go back. I will definitely install the 3.0V and any and all future versions

I chose firefox because it's a beast! And from my experience with IE (older versions) and what I've heard people say (web developer friends) IE (newest versions) sucks and their basically just copying the other browsers' features.

I think the reason why IE is popular is because no one really knows that there are other web browsers out there but now that things are being more advertised Chrome and FireFox are becoming more and more popular So Firefox for me though last month i switched to chrome
