With so many videos currently on OS and more constantly being added, even if a only a small percentage of the total videos turn out to have problems, it is still a LOT of videos to check and replace.

With so much work to do on OS and not to mention dealing with real life jobs and other responsibilities, we have decided that it is time to lighten the burden of the few active staff by adding additional volunteers.

Staff needed are
1) Forum Moderator
2) Video Moderator

(Due to yoyoyoyou's[/URL] laptop breaking down, we will need the new moderator to work a bit harder in the beginning)

Video Moderator is a new position where his/her role is solely to check the complaints in the "broken videos" section and confirm if the videos are really problematic and update the broken video list thread. That is all. Therefore, logically, it would be a primary requirement that the video mod has to have a decent-fast internet connection.

Reason: Ive been a regular on OS for quite a long time, and im wanting to help a bit more than i already am, which well, isnt much. I have a LOT of free time on my hands, and im willing to help out. Reason: i understand the frustration of seeing a video that you want to watch but the link is broken. brakes up your watching habit and most importantly your mood gets affected. most people report broken links by immediately writing it under comments. so it would be easier for anyone who gets this post to check on these shoutboxes regularly cos i think there are some vids with problems and nobody has seemed to try and solve them like ichigo marshimaro(oav) has the problem of subs being lost when in fullscreen. it is clearly the video problem but i dont think it is solved yet...

right now i may have a challenge cos i am using a netbook and it does have some issues with some of the videos. (aug09-nov09) But as the world is moving to these mobile devices, i think it would be adviced that os can support all comp types so as to increase viewership!

Reason: I always wanted to be part of something like this, and learn how it works. Like I said, I'm probably a bad choice because I have no idea what even falls under "IT" knowledge. But I'm a game moderator, used to host my own MapleStory server, so I could learn rather quickly if I need to. Use proper grammar, polite, always try to influence others with my up-beat attitude. Plus it would be a great experience, I wish to open my own site some day. A good one, not one of those little simple ones. This site is definitely inspirational, works great, lots of bells and whistles, like the chat bar on the bottom.

How often are you online(time, day): As I spend most of my "off-time" on OS, I'm on quite often. I'm always off on sunday/wednesday/random 3rd day from work, and on after 11pm EST on most other days. Basically, I spend enough time to stream between over 100-200 episodes a week on OS.
Reason: I've streamed almost 3,000 videos here, and have reported problems on most of the videos I've caught errors on. Most of which are audio/video sync timing problems. I would really like to help out and get any and all videos with problems fixed so that people don't stray from OS to find other copies being streamed.
I wouldn't mind helping to cleanup the forums and making sure they stay PG-13. To be honest, until just recently I'd have not wanted to do it. But upon spending more time in the forums and seeing people leaving replies like "I agree" or "Yeah, lol, that's funny" and not contributing to the thread in question, it drives me bonkers and makes me want to say something... but I really don't have the right to say anything at the moment. I can only assume they are doing it try and up their post count, or they didn't read the rules before entering the forums.. I'm quite aware that people aren't supposed to do that, and if they don't have anything to add to the conversation, they shouldn't post. I've also seen certain people whom have a tendency to "double post" aka posting 2 times back to back instead of just editing their previous post. Then there is the one that the mod's catch a lot more often, posting in the wrong section. I see things moved more often than not, so there isn't too much to say in that regard.
