PSP 3000 info

Can you guys help me in this

We're planning to buy the PSP 3000 series
but it cannot play the games in the memory cards
The saleslady said it was the PSP 2000 Series or below

Can we downgrade a PSP 3000 to a PSP 2000??

Can PSP 3000 play games in memory cards now?

I don't think you can. You'll have to change the motherboard to support cfw and it's only if the shop that you're patronizing provides such a service.

Don't bother about the PSP-3000, just get the PSP-2006 and above.

Remember to check for the cfw version, get them to update for you to the latest and most stable cfw. This is to save you the trouble of updating by yourself.

You can't "downgrade" the PSP hardware, i'm sure you know that. Unless you meant to modify, which wouldn't really make sense to take away the mic and the new screen.

Also if you are going to jump into a bundled deal, make sure you don't get cheated. Cheated as in, fake Memory Sticks or paying more for peripherals that you wouldn't need.

Also, i recommend a Memory Stick of 4GB and above.

P.S. The PSP should be cheaper if it is a refurbished set, take note.

well i know that news that psp3000 is more on UMDs than using memory stick
uhmm base on the forum where i always go, well you see there some people manage to play homebrew games in psp3000 but not yet in psp games.
they said it will take time or perhaps never ^_^
better stay tune in the updates or maybe just buy psp2000 not 3000

Modified ChickHenR2 (100% Success) (Got 3 Version to choose!!)

Ok, I get 100% success rate using this modified ChickHen (tried and tested many many times by me). It basically the same ChickHen R2 but the file is organize in such a way that only one try is good enough. The only backdraw is you cannot store any other pictures like wallpaper as it will interfere with the process . It work for both PSP-2000 and PSP-3000!

There are two other version than mine below. From what people say, it both work great!!

Instruction:-

1.Plug USB and go to your PSP directory
2.Go to your PSP and delete ALL FILE INSIDE ms0:/PSP/PHOTO
3.Download the file below and open it up. There should be two folder; [PICTURE] and [PSP]
4.Extract this two file into your PSP (ms0:/)
5.Now exit USB mode.Scroll to Photo/Memory Stick in your PSP (you should now looking at your PSP not PC screen!). Once you click, ChickHen R2 will be loaded without interruption. Easy right?!.

Note:

1.There should be h.bin file in your PSP already. This is copied when you download the original ChickHen R2. So if you already a user of ChickHen you should have this.If you don't have this file, simply download from iFile mirror I provide and copy that file into ms0:/.
2.If it hang, try 'system restore' your psp. For me, one is enough so it could work back again. At least no more 20+ try on normal ChickHen :P
3.For my PSP-2000, this only works if BOTH file is extracted and copy into my PSP. However, Versions19 and assasinwarrior method (his post is just below) is different in which only [PSP] is copied. I guess it up to you to use whichever method you wanted.

2 other version:

1. assassinwarrior is nice enough is make an alternative way to install this. Just follow his readme and it works for both PSP 2000 and 3000.

Instruction:-

5. then Enter PHOTO\MEMORY and then scroll down to the last file.


Note: if further attempts does not work,
go to System > system Settings > system information, and restore default settings. then try again.

First I take out the MS and the UMD and turn the PSP off.
Then I turn it on, insert the MS and go to the Photo menu, but not enter the Chickhen folder yet.
Then I insert the UMD and, while it is being loaded, I enter the ChickHen folder and I do not scroll down the pictures...just wait and...voil?!!

U can go to cali games have the 3000 sires if u breen it there ask for trade it for the 3000 sires and they are new u get one month wartion and a year with psp store

psp 3000 can be hack now if your firmware is 5.03 below!!!
