Go to C:\windows\fonts\ and check if there are available fonts like arial or Times New Roman. if not, just download them from the net. Just be sure to download in a trusted site.

You can install the font by drag and dropping the font on the fonts folder.

Change your default font:
-right-click your desktop, click properties.
-click appearance tab.
-click advanced button.
-under item, select icon. change whatever you need to and click ok 2 times.

Kind of neat, but yeah, what avich said should work...if pidodido is able to read the "icon" selection :D

Maybe a System Restore will help.

You could just learn a new language, I'm sure you'll be able to make some sense of all the symbols eventually :P

If everything else fails you can always just format your computer, any documents you need to save can just be transported to a external hard-disc, unless you have been so foreseeing as to install your OS on a separate drive.

try check ur computer for viruses, i'm pretty sure u got a virus, my comp has already suffered from a lot of viruses and experienced a lot of problems well somehow i got them fixed...
have you tried getting into windows safe mode, i have successfully repaired my computer via safe mode.

1. Format your whole computer and reinstall everything
2. if you cant format hard disk try formatting from command prompt
3. to format from command prompt u can find a tutorial from the web
4. if none works, then buy a new harddisk and ROM, then reinstall everything too
5. you dont need to buy a new computer as what is affected is only your computer memory
6. well thats all i know from my experiences if they still dont work well :emhh57: i give up

Hmm I disregarded this post thinking that this is another one of those Windows Easter trick thingee.

Going back to topic

Try a third party program that is capable of changing your font. If you don't have any, try changing your theme.
Download new themes. Apply the new theme. They can forcefully change your font by Arial or Times new roman.

IF that doesn't work, Run OS in safe mode and try to check what Avich just said.
If the fonts disappear, there may be a malware in your computer.

Is this a desktop? If so unplug the HDD from your computer and plug it to another computer to perform a system scan.
If you are familiar on how to scan without reading the scribbles or whatever, you may perform a full scan of your computer.

I may give you a .bat or a .rar font installer or a theme installer however I am not sure if I am allowed to provide attachments.

I can provide you other links of any apps that can help.

If all fails, reformat the computer.

Its most likely that a font has been deleted, try setting the font to arial unicode(it can display most languages if not all) if u can't find it try downloading it from the web just find it in google and paste it in your font folder then set the font to arial unicode.

A virus is also possible but it is less likely especially if you have an antivirus.
also try scanning ur pc with malwarebyte's.

Hope this helps!!!

AHA! i knew those symbols...*pushes eyeglasses*...those are advanced jejemon writings! well, im not one of them so i don't know anything like that, why not ask them! <---BEST SOLUTION (i know, it's nonsense). anyways,*serious* just take it to an I.T. expert for you to be sure. and it is the safest way, because if you experimented on it, it may get worst than that

if everything else fails...backup your important files like rare games or ecchi stuff (ohoho im sure u have tons *winks*), reformat your hard disk...get a new, GENUINE, windows OS and reinstall everything all over. Get a good anti virus software like Mcafee, and with Mcafee's site advisor, it helps you from entering 'red sites' that are known for potentially dangerous viruses.

whew, so much for computer virus,
anyways, try this
how about go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language Settings -> Administrative -> Change the Unicode language to English?
or maybe ask mr. system restore, if its really hopeless,
it only means one thing...
dude, you need to reformat your computer..
