For the manga readers, what do you like to read that you think most other people overlook or just dont know about because it's not that popular?

For me, it's Shounen Dolls. It's a cute story about a teenage dollmaker who has 2 special dolls that turn human at night. She initially only has one, Leo who is a very very cute victorian style guy. After years of searching (before the manga) they finally find Yuki, his long lost partner. Together they protect the girl and fight off distorted dolls that look to harm humans. Its really good, I suggest you try it.

I have to agree with Avich on Bakuman. To add another point to it... it is drawn by the brilliant person who brought us Deathnote ^^

the one that I shall bring up is Medaka Box.

Its a story about this abnormally talented girl who becomes student council president. Initially she is the only one recruited to the student council so in the beginning of the story she is wearing the armbands of all the positions xD
Seriously, this girl is amazing and everything she does is outrageous!
It has a great bit of action, an amazing artstyle thats easy on the eyes... and its got a good bit of eye candy for the guys and the girls ;)

I think High School of the Dead is pretty overlooked, well if it weren't the author probably wouldn't have started a new story :(

Bakuman is indeed a great manga, but I do think it is pretty popular.

Bakuman and Ai Kora (Since TWGOK is popular)

Ai Kora is the story of Hachibei Maeda. A boy who loves parts of girls and is on a quest to find the IDEAL girl. He doesn't care about the girl as long as that girl has his ideal part. If she does, he will protect her whole-heartedly anytime, anywhere! He inherited this habit from his father, who was successful in finding his IDEAL girl. Dedicated to this, Hachibei moves to Tokyo, where he thought he'll be able to find girls with his Ideal parts. But as he visited his dorm, it seems it has already been burned down. Then his teacher came to pick him up from there. This teacher has one of his favorite parts... Long, perfectly straight legs. And as he moves into the girls dorm, he finds more of his favorite parts to protect!

But it's kinda stalled so we won't be having any new chapters from chapter 102 until the Translator comes back from vacation and the Raw getting the Raws.

BTW, Ai Kora's Author and Artist is the same as Midori no Hibi! Inoue Kazurou!

Kurohime - It's about the greatest witch gun-slinger ever, Kurohime! Who defied even the gods to gain her glory. In turn, the gods weren't havin' it and put a nasty spell on her that turned her into a weak and helpless child. And only true love could break it. Being the kind of person Kurohime is, that was NEVER going to happen, but then she met Zero...

Kurohime has some of the most creative artwork I've seen in awhile and a great story to boot.

Vagabond - Musashi Miyamoto was called the greatest samurai in history, this is his story...

Inoue Takehiko is by far the greatest manga artist I've ever known. His capture of the motion and emotion of his characters is absolutely stunning. Every page is a work of art, literally.

I got more, but I wrote a lot already.

Wow, thanks for posting these thread :D I'll be able to find new mangas to read. ^___^ and I like your manga choice, it's on my plan to read list now :D

NOTE: AiChan is very picky when it comes to manga art.

overlooked eh?
i say it's "beast master"

don't be fooled by it's shonen manga-like title. but it's not.
it's actually an amazing shoujo manga.
which involves a normal girl and a really really odd and naive boy <333

Akazukin Tokyo is definetly overlooked...also very mature...seriously don't read it if the thought of Vore, Rape, or other unsightly topics sickens you...in fact the main characters whole motivation is to be eaten...literally.

I think the number one completed manga is definitely "Ichigo 100%" I don't think many people actually read all 167 chapters. I read them all and the ending was so great. It got me teary-eyed.
