K-ON Second Season Confirmed

During the "Let's Go!" live concert in Yokohama on Wednesday. They have annouced that the Second Season of K-ON Anime Franchise has been Green-Lit.

The second season of the K-ON! anime franchise was announced after the "Let's Go!" live concert in Yokohama on Wednesday. When the concert's two encores ended, the large onstage screen displayed footage from the first season of the television anime series. Then the screen displayed an announcement that the second season has been green-lit.

The anime's official website has also confirmed that production on the second season has been green-lit. The anime adapted kakifly's four-panel comedy manga about a budding high school band.

UPDATE: K-ON Second Season was annouced to premiere this April on TBS and other affiliated television stations in Japan.

Seven DVD and Blu-ray Disc compilation volumes will be released by Pony Canyon between July 29, 2009 and January 20, 2010. An additional original video animation episode will be released with the final DVD and BD volumes to be released on January 20, 2010.

It was displayed on screen at the Let's Go live concert in Yokohama, Japan on December 30, 2009 that there will be a second season.

the concert is..hmmm what i remember... xxx days before the concert can't remember the days but its on episode 2 or 3? at the end of the episode the day of the concert is written, so high hopes
