PLS read thoroughly, hope you understand my suggestion

Hi !

This is a problem that i sometimes experience and maybe some other users are experiencing it too,

sometimes i experience internet disconnection while watching a video in OS
for example if im watching a anime that has a 25 min length, and my computer successfully buffed the video until 20 min. and after that i was disconnected and maybe after 2 min. i was connected again, so i need to refresh the page again, is it possible to retrieve the 20 min. that my computer has already buffed? because when i reload the page, my computer will buff the video again from the start, so i need to wait again until my computer will successfully buff at the point that i was disconnected ...

So what if im watching a movie here in OS? For example 90 min. long and when im at 70 min. i was disconnected and i refreshed the page, does that mean i need to wait again untill my computer sucesfully buffed until 70 min? that's a waste of time

I suggest that if it's possible, can you do something, that if i was disconnected, it will resume the buffering of data?? ugh, its hard to explain, but can you get my point? .. :)

If my sugestion is not clear pls reply to this thread and ill explain in farther, in order for you to understand ..

THX

you could use the old OS player if possible, im pretty sure it has the seeking function added

Cpanel>>( side bar )>> switch OS player from new to old

i hope that helps :D

hehe,
i think that my suggestion is hard to do ... hehe

because they need to make a program which stores every second buffed by the by the computer, and if the computer was disconnected it can resume to its previous state when the user is connected .. :)

I'd say the simplest way to solve your problem would be for OS to to allow you to move ahead and start buffering from the point you click. Think youtube, how you can click past what is already buffered and it will start buffering from that point. It would solve your problem.

That would the best answer/suggestion since I already have the same problem twice.......the buffering being cut because of net disconnection.

yeah, I thought about it before actually, because with my old isp, it happened constantly to me. But I'm fine now :D
