Manga + Music

Have you guys ever listened to music on repeat while you read manga. Then later on, each time you hear that song you remember the manga?

Now each time I hear "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder I remember of Air Gear and when I hear songs from Flyleaf I remember reading the doujinshi (sp?) of Evangalion. (not a fan of hentai but I heard it had an awsome storyline, and it did. Recomend reading it with "Fully Alive"- Flyleaf, great epic atmosphere)

Happens often not just with just manga, but I remembered Air Gear listening to Lips of an Angel

I can't listen to music while read manga because it will disturb my concentration...
I had tried do the both thing together...but then I'll get into the songs and don't know what I had read...hehehe

I know exactly what you mean. That has happened to me quite often lately.
For an example, everytime I hear the track Pearl by Avernus, I always think of the Claymore manga..

well when i read my books i listen to only my railgun! so right now i do remember alot from the book when playing the song

most probably cos whenever i play the song i have to re-read the portion again and again until i get it by the time i get it, it gets linked with the song.

I do not like to listen to music and read. It's distracting to me.

i got that problem with playing games. for me its like this:

Billy Talent: Heroes of Newerth
Flogging Molly/farin urlaub racing team: world of warcraft
Disturbed: warcraft III

and some other songs from different artists. i even have certain images of the game situation T_T for example: Charmmy Queen - Miracle Plan ga Dekichatta is: Farming levels on Nagrand (wow)

or Disturbed is: Skipping school while playing warcraft III because we just had 3 lessons at that day, and these were crappy^^

Breath by Breaking Benjamin. listened when i read Hayate no Gotoku... Specially the part where talked about Hayate's and Athena's past.

I was listening to Westlife's album 'Back Home" when I started reading Koukou Debut.
The song 'You must have had a broken heart' always remind me of it...

nope but I listen to music while reading manga...sometimes reading manga reminds me of some song I listen to so its the other way around for me xD

I always listen to Music, especially after Streaming Anime. I even listen to Musics when reading a Manga xD

Yeah i know what you mean i was reading Gantz while listening to Metallica's "One" so every time i hear that song I remember Gantz

i never listen to music while reading manga. i think it changes my mood depending on the music from what it should be in the manga x_x so like sometimes when something good happens in the manga, i might think it's a bad thing.... hope that makes sense lol
but yeah, i try to read manga by itself.

i enjoy listening to music ~a lot~ and always have some music playing while studying, reading a book, being on the internet, sitting around..pretty much all day long xD

so it has happened to me to draw connections between certain songs and the things i was doing while listening to these songs and thus i have linked reading Broken (Break) Bladewith listening to Breaking Benjamin, reading Bleachwith listening to Giovanni Mirabassi's ~Je chante pour passer le temps (it's byakuya's theme song ^^), reading Deadman Wonderland with listening to the new album of Evansesce and so on....
