Hmmm depending on the type of books you want to read. I also read a lot of vampire romances and regency romances as well as pure science fiction

The Redemption of Althalus is always a nice easy book to read, or alternatively books by Raymond E. Feist are always a treasure.

Actually The Redemption of Althalus started okay ... the premise was good, but after a while the slap stick style really, really annoyed me. I have read the other books of the same authors (husband and wife team ... cant remember their name) and this was the worst (at least that was my opinion - so sorry :1:)

Typical fantasy books just pick up any by Peirs Anthony, David Eddings, Robert Jordam... though it tends to be a bit of a long drawn out saga.
For something different try 'The life of Pi', or a bit heavier 'The Drifters'
Though I'd recommend 'The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy' by Douglas Adams, if you haven't already read it - absolutely the funniest and most irreverant book ever, that also seems to hit upon universal truth... quite by accident almost.

Lilian Jackson Braun - The Cat Who . . .series, great fun, quick reads
Rick Riordan - Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series (a series based around Greek Mythology, a kids series but really good)
Peter Straub - anything by this author is good (imo)
Erin Hunter - Warriors series and Seekers series (again, both kids series but really good)
Terry Brooks
Peter Beagle - The Last Unicorn
Colin Falconer - When We Were Gods : A Novel of Cleopatra (an excellent book, well researched and written well)
Peter Straub - anything by this author (imo)
Robin Cook - usually medical thrillers that are pretty good

I don't know excatly what kind of books you are into, so I've picked some titles that I believe everybody would like despite thier normal taste :)
You should really try reading Philip Pullman's trilogy "His Dark Materials" it consists of the fllowing titles "The Golden Compass", "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass"..
The books follows a boy from our a real world and a girl from this parallel univers that he by accident enters.
They are really good books! nothing like the second rate movie hollywood had to make a couple a years ago.
You might also like the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel... The novel is set in the prehistoric era and follows a young girls life, very good despite it does get a bit ecchi at times..

Life of pi was a great read, not for everyone though... for some it's too much analysis lol
Animal Farms great but you can read it in a day...

You could also try "Tuesdays With Morrie" and "The Five People You Meet In Heaven". They're both quite popular [but not so], so I'm not sure if you've read any of them.

Ya Life of Pi was really great.
Also if you've read one of Dan Browns books, you've basically read them all lol. Uses the same setup EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Shantaram was surprising good! Its really long but it never gets boring. First book I read that was that long and I actually liked every part.

Hi. I just bought a new book, so I thought I'd share more recommendations:
Books by Neil Gaiman
-Neverwhere (I just bought this book, and I think it's great, I like this type of books)
-Stardust (Already adapted to a film, but still great)
-Coraline (Actually intended for kids-- well I think it suites all ages -- creepy and fun)
Other:
-Fallen
-Chinese Cinderella
-Memoirs of a Geisha
-The Diary of a Young Girl
-Falling leaves
-Matilda
Err-- I can't think of any now. This will be enough for now.
More:
-The saga of Darren Shan
-The Saga of Larten Crepsely
-The Demonata

There are lots of good books around, but it stilldepends on what you really like in a book right? ^^
if you like anime perhaps you'll love J.K. Rowling's books, I'm a Harry Potter fan myself.
Also, The Hunger Games although the sequels are not as good as the first book. :)
