regarding signatures

I have only just joined so please forgive my noobness...

I'm looking on photobucket at signatures and I was wondering - if I don't make it do I need to say where I got it from?

Hope that's not too much of a retarded question, also is it ok to start a new thread to ask something like this?

you mean you didnt made it, should you tell us where you got it? Its up to you. If you dont know the original maker of it, then its okay. But as long as you know where you or who made it, then its better you give them credits.

EDIT: Thinking about it, I think its better if you don't use sigs of others unless you have permission to do so.

Well since the post hasn?t been close I guess It?s ok to answer, regarding GFX rules (yes the ones that almost all now but aren?t written anywhere) using another person sig is allowed just don?t:

-Say you made it.
-Edit it.

Believe me good GFXers recognized their works (or track their sig with the host), doing one of the before mencioned it?s considered ripping. You probably won?t have that much of the problems probably a few series of mails with complains. I recommend you make one or ask for one in the multimedia zone of the forum. ~
