That's pretty interesting, but personally I really don't even consider those scientific terms as words.
They're just strings of scientific/chemical classifications and descriptions of the specific chemical. Heck, that 'word' had the letters "glut" and various other letter combinations hundreds of times.
If a dash is allowed in a word, then great-great-great-great...great-grandfather/mother is the longest word. :/

Lol, im the one who posted the video woo!
i'd also like to add, that we tried both the Male, and Female AI voices. the Male was unable to do it, and thus we had to use the female voice. Apparently guys get tongue twisted easier.

Seriously? Wow that's fun. Good for you.
Honestly, I studied Biology before and it's already annoying to remember all the funny words they use already.. Imagine having to write that in an examination...
Or even a linguistic oral examination. (the proper one where you speak)

I doubt anyone would be interested, but it seems that this is really the real chemical name of titin.
It has the longest chemical name because it's the largest known protein.
Essentially a protein is like a string of beads, where "amino acids" are the "beads" that chain together to make a string (protein). So "the longest English word" is just a list naming the different "beads" in the order they appear.

i read about this one.. yah it's chemical name for titin.. the largest known protein and is argued whether it is a word

.... hearing it is quite annoying and even reading it .....
.... the name itself is not practical but that's how science is .....
.... we can't argue with that!

because proteins are made of very long amide chains, that sometimes consist more than 70 amide linkages, it bound to be one of the longest word. however, a word that is very long that also has meaning unlike lys-lys-trp-trp-ala-ala (x999) whatever is hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia....which is ironically a fear of big words

...so this doesn't surprise me as much as i saw that T-shirt, but i have one question though
who made that (scientific)name?

It's the name of all of the amino acids in the protein, lol. Titin is a protein used as a bonding site for muscle proteins (credit to Wikipedia)

I think I've said this before, but when my friend made it this was the only voice that could record it. All of the other voice generators failed xD
