Merchandizing

not sure where everyone's at so just throwing this one out there maybe for sometime in the future. perhaps merchandising would be good way to keep the site alive just of the bat i'm thinking: t-shirts, back packs, head phones, cd cases, could probably put os's name on anything and sell it. however it doesn't even have to be os named stuff really maybe anime related products would be a cool place to start.

thats a little impossible too because you still need to buy the raw materials and OS doesn't have that much money it is only limited in supporting this site but anyways that is a good suggestion...

Yep, we have also discussed this possibility, but starting up takes money and we barely pay the rent (in a matter of speaking :18:) so it was put on hold. But its one of our dreams :1:

This is a great idea ... just one question ... does someone in the group actually own the OS logo?

Our dog club is able to sell T shirts by making advanced sales at 50% rest upon delivery. Maybe that's a possibility

We now have an OS T-shirts and they sold it in the coszoom in cebu last October but I do not know if they will sell it online so that other members can buy them. It will help some of the financial problems of OS if this become famous to every member although I do not know how they will deliver these T-shirts like in the part of USA.

Yeah, exactly. We already have the OS Stickers and The OS Shirts. And as for the OS Shirts, It would be possible to ask permission of the designer of the OS Shirt you would liked to print.

Was going to make a new post and decided to check for a thread like this. I was curious if OS had merchandise. specifically t-shirts. A friend of mine works for a t-shirt printing company. We have had shirts printed before for various occasions. Everything from family reunions to summer BBQ picnics lol. I could check to see how much they would charge me for some shirts. I know they will say it depends on the print on the shirt so I would need an image or idea of what OS wanted. If this is something OS is interesting in just let me know.

They can and do print in small amounts and can offer various types of shirt styles and materials.
I could even offer to help make them to reduce the cost. Sometimes they allow that.
They do other things like caps, jerseys, coats and etc etc but I have only dealt with shirts

I would gladly buy a t-shirt or ball-cap, etc There are several makers on line that offer various ways of doing this. The easiest & most common is just to have a link to their sight. Where you -[the purchaser] order's the items they want, pays and is delivered all through the makers end. All third party. That way O.S. does not have to deal with the shipping and payments etc. Making it clean and hassle free. I'd really like to see something like this happen. Perhaps do a pole on the Homepage to see how many would consider purchasing. Perhaps a contest for artwork and have a run-off and print up the top 2 or 3 entries. You could even do it by category shirts, caps, ladies & Guy's, etc. Buy the end, you would most likely have quite a few members involved which would assure more sales and you could probably start it off by getting pre-orders at that time and that way no out-of O.S. general funds should be needed. It's really just getting the initial order going. Since this is not that unusual of a problem the "Maker" should have suggestions (?maybe). Any-which way a simple poll should let you know if it is worth it. Then you could have a yearly contest or sumthing similar for knew styles. We do have quite few artist in various niches, Manga, Anime, drawings -pics, etc. Personally I like the {current as of 10.20.11} logo in the anime streaming windows before clicking to load -would be really neat on a cap and shirt.
