It's probably a very plausible idea if you got rid of the Anime aspect of it.

A reality show featuring a bunch of females selling their body for the entertainment of the masses and one nerd is something I'd watch.

I'd expect plenty of awkward advances that we'd laugh at.

Video documentary:
Gather some of your heartless female friends. Have them hit on/flirt some poor nerd guy and get his hopes up. Run out with your camera (like those prank show guys) and say that they were just part of a video documentary! Then everyone cheers as he cries in misery.

It has already been made... a horrible show called "the beauty and the geek". Some IT nerds and a bunch of blonds, the really stupid breed "no offense girls, don't know if we have any blonds ^^"

I want the otaku version, it would be way more interesting, and for the love of god don't make it girls with too little intelligence

Gosh yes - I never knew there were females that seriously stupid until I watched that show. At least the geeks cleaned up nice and would go back to their high paying careers after its done with a bit more confidence and looks but the women leave as dumb as they came

Well - most harem shows do show a geeky guy living with a lot of hot women and thankfully they aren't seriously dumb.

*back on topic ... if there was a show? I am neither a beauty nor do I have enough brains to be a true geek. I am not even a dyed in the wool Otaku, so that leaves me ...

Well the prank method is actually more realistic. A show that pays people to act in a way doesn't really fit into the show, because the viewers probably won't find it interesting. But yeah I would watch it if there was a show like that, the otaku style.
