Anyone played this game yet for PSP? What do you guys think about this game?

Playing it right now and its nice but hard a little.

Great game IMO. It is hard at first, but once you get the groove of your characters it gets a bit easier. After that, it's just skill. I already have Cloud level 100 and his level 100 exclusive weapon xD. I'm working on Shantotto now ^_^ level 97 and the level 90 exclusive.

The Chaos are so strong. Bravery Attacks and HP attacks are stronger than the Cosmos sides. But I got to say Cosmos is better. Getting Onion Knight to 100, *spams Comet :D

Key words being Right Timing against Jecht, he has a delay on most of his combos, and i don't time my attacks correctly most of the time against him...:emhh19:

On a side note, i just checked my friend card settings, it says I'm SSS Tactician Cloud and SS Vicious Shantotto I am about to get Shantotto's level 100 excluse too, so happy :emh23:

Cloud is good lol. He's not that bad at all. Squall on the other hand, he's godly against Chaos lol. However, Chaos is kind of cheap ... moves so fast, trying guard, but he attacks too fast lol..

lol you cant block the combo of jecht coz during combo everytime you being hit there is no recovery unless the player is dumb already tested in AI lvl90+(much intelligent than ME !!) lol even lvl110 AI cant block during combo

Jecht's weakness is mostly air and blocking except when he uses his HP attack on ground then its air.

Anyone know how to use Tidus good enough? Like mostly his bravey attack combo.

Usually Tidus uses HP attack after he dodged Bravey or HP attack. So frustrating !

You say cloud is easy to read and block. When he is in ex mode u cant block >.> any of his attacks anymore. pity exdeath and his shield attacks xD.

And a tactic i use against jecht to break his combo... go into ex mode.

i have onion knight,cloud and sephiroth at 100 and just like squall, sephiroth has wicked brave attacks but they dont branch into hp ones (too bad hed be better than jecht) his special attack where he brings opponent brave to 1 is very useful for breaking lvl120 bosses in lunar whale arena and if the opponent gets close you can always cancel and do an attack while they are dashing towards you ^^ (lol exdeath he cant teleport close enough to stop it coz when your moving the ring just passes by ahahaha)

i still cant figure out jechts combo ahahaha oh well ive got 21 other characters to master...

For my game rating i give it 9/10, its a challenge!(inward chaos) and its fun too.
id give it 10 if they switch ultemicia with seifer and gabranth with either ashe or van.

But I noticed something about Cloud's Ex Mode. When I used Omislash, the first he loses all his bravery attack points, then his first 2 hits will depends on how much bravey you gained.

Sephiroth and EX-Death


I mean... I just like to use Sephiroth... Coz he's Cool!!! and if you have a Amazing sense for timing... His combos will eat your opponent in seconds... He feels lighter than most of the characters but has amazing attack power... :emh22:

Hahaha... Offensive and Defensive at the same time... That's why he is Heavy...

a well played tidus can still own cloud though.

and yeah once you get to 100 its best to use ex mode spam set ^^, try terra with it on and keep the flood coming.

Try Gabranth in ex-mode dual rend. see if he can dodge that.
or his vortex. it works wonders against dodgers.

lvling isnt hard... besides its much better to go from 1 to 100 on the duel colloseum(spellcheck pls ^^), and besides if you get max exp calendar bonus+grind lover play plan+chocobo feather= massive exp. highest i remember ever getting was 75k exp on a 1 hit ex burst against a boss who was about 11 lvls higher than me with maximum difficulty xD (i got lucky n broke him a lot after his hp attacks, good thing i had malboro on n kept close to him, that summon works wonders on chase)

what accessories do u guys use?

i have gabranth equipped with these:

Gold Hourglass (ex mode duration +20%)
Gravitorb (ex force absorb +3m)
Pearl Necklace (ex force absorb +30%)
Gaia Ring (damage +15%)
Champion Belt (Physical damage +25%)
Close to You (absorb ex force on attack,getting attacked,on summon)

with these conditional mods.:
Lvl100 1.2x
AfterSummon 1.5x
Exmode(2x) 1.3x

(with this i get about total of x3 after i summon and about 2.6 before so i use manual summons)

how do i unlock better conditional modifier accesories? i need to ditch the lvl100 for something better (i did try foe=summon unused which has 1.5x then use ramuh summon but then id have to wait 6 battles for it to recharge and if i cant kill by the time the seal ends then its useless...)

what conditional mods can u guys suggest?

if you count all of them thats 10 accesories =P

Or if you really want to make it easy, just fight max level Exdeath on Conservative with as many EXP multipliers possible. :biggrin:

also if you wanna lvl up fast, maximum difficulty opponents give more exp than normal. also try to keep them at your level or higher, if you keep fighting low lvls with low difficulty your ghost rank will decrease. i already have cloud, sephiroth and gabranth at SSS and onion knight at A (XD i use him to fight low difficulty opponents in quick battle for battlegen or drops)

and i also believe that shantoto does better than exdeath for exp food ^^

hehe kraken? or magic pot. if it was magic pot it could be countered by scarmiliogne or 2nd chance (when ur hp attack hits for 9999 his 9999 brave would be turned into hp).

and i think exdeath is best with cautious or survivor ai. and i think he is easier with vicious ai coz he keeps spamming his shield attacks leaving open for hits.

So much pwnage in this game, I actually took a break after I beat Inward Chaos. Level 110 Chaos is not a very easy fight, but i did it only getting hit by 1 hp attack and only 4-5 brave attacks/combos. 6th try ^_^

Once you get the timing of all his attacks, he becomes VERY easy actually. It's fun going back to fight the regular Chaos fight and one shotting him every round xP

@chancesz it was Magic Pot that I used. and it was seriously easy, my friend just did one fight against him with terra, he said it landed him to around lv. 70ish... but I just can't see how (from lv. 1) but yeah, using the magic pot method with maxed out and uncapped ex death has made levelling a breeze.

His attacks do actually follow you, which is really annoying, but once you learn how many dodges, and in which direction you should dodge in, for each attack, it gets quite easy. The only one i can't figure out is Soul of Oblivion i think...

ok. with lvl2 shantoto i tried fighthing exdeath lvl100 maximum difficulty with the break and magic pot strategy. and i even finished him with an ex burst for bonus exp. had chocobo feather on and made sure i had a x5 multiplier from the grinder play plan and it was on my bonus day... didnt get 25lvls =.= more like 13ish or so and there should be no significant difference since the exp difference for a lvl2 shantoto would be around 1k+ exp...

ah and inward chaos. i tried it with jecht this time and pawned him in 1 go ahaha. exp to hp works wonders especially against high lvl opponents. im pawning lvl150 in the black jack course easily (except for the tiny few exceptions where cosmos judgement kicks in and then they break my combo by turning on ex-mode then hitting an hp attack on the staggering me... then the exbursts... [even if i had 9999 bravery to start i still get break on if i get hit by a burst from lvl125 onwards] then i die from 1 shot.

and i still think shantoto is an easier opponent compared to exdeath =P. (getting hit by bio sucks though [never do an hp attack when hit by bio, instant break after the attack])

The Soul of Oblivion could be dodged through timin' I actually did it once before. I kind of got lucky cause i was goin' to lose to him anyways.

well i finally figured out most of chaos's moves. for divine punishment i just had to wait a bit in the middle, just before the spheres explodes you dodge. but i do still get hit by demon dances last hit and scarlet rain. when chaos is using the brink of delusion being in mid air makes you unable to dodge the final attack. i still cant beat the chaos in the black jack course and the longest chain ive ever done in it was 25 =x... damn those lvl150 maximum difficulty exdeath (yes exdeath, if he does a succesful block[he does a lot when its maximum difficulty], its a sure break or 1 hit kill =.=)

I think i can kill Chaos now. if you know his trick in the beginning, Life 1; he attacks using melee more often than using his range. Life 2; range mostly and break your guard. Life 3; be cautious with his attacks and ranges.

when i fight him i usually dodge to the side. if he does a triple slash i can block n stagger him on the 3rd hit. what i noticed is he usually does the same move as his 1st attack for all 3 stages, but thats not the case most of the time. So anyways you can almost always predict his 1st attack for the 2nd and 3rd stage allowing you to block(triple slash) or dodge(flame wheel) or attack(when he jumps to prepare for crater slam) whatever is appropriate. for flame wheel third stage you dodge to either side twice and the third you dodge towards him to get hits in.

You say take a hit =.= try doing so against the black jack chaos... u get break and his bravery is instantly max...You say chaos lvl100 is easy, i agree but i think any lvl100 cpu is easy even the max difficulty ones from the colloseum.
I agree Exp-Hp is better than Exp-ExForce, it will save you a lot in the blackjack course. Oh and of course human players are harder than any ai. Everyone says Ex-death sucks, try playing him =P, if done right he will pawn all (xept cloud on ex-mode).

Working on Tidus now, i usually use garland and onion knight to fight in quickbattles for battlegen hence the low rank.

the weakest opponents for me are shantoto,emperor,ultemicia and gabranth in that order. the hardest for me would be.. sepiroth, zidane, jecht and then ex-death (all maximum ai, if not ex-death would be weakest).

i try to stay above gabranth to avoid his innocence, and block when hes in rupture/dual rend range. rupture and vortex should be slow enough for u to see and block. dual rend is another story since its very quick to execute. i play against my brother who mains gabranth a lot and blocking dual rend has become reflex xD.

computer gabranth usually dies before he gets enough exforce to go into exmode hehe. unless its cosmos judgement. well its more fun when he does get into it but computer sucks at accesory builds so his exmode doesnt usually last 20 secs(unless he has his exclusives on).

the blue flare is annoying ^^ but it reflects if u hit it with an hp attack. the emperor is super annoying in maps with a lot of walls. he just keeps spamming light crest and it bounces off the walls.

Warrior of Light isnt bad. i do admit his damage sucks (only ascension and crossover do decent damage). i only have 3 brave attacks and 1 hp attack for him. ascension for ground battles and rising buckler and shield strike. all 3 link to hp attacks when mastered. only hp attack i have on is shield of light for air. radiant sword is good but since im used to close range combat its kinda useless for me. since his damage is so low (even his exclusive is def based) i have counter attack and riposte on for extra damage.

and tidus is very predictable too. u just have to avoid attacking carelessly. his attacks arent that fast, except for hop-step (most people dont like it coz it doesnt link to quick hit like his other attacks but its the fastest move tidus has) i use it a lot.

yes he is weak without ex-mode, he cant even do hp attacks other than in chase mode(even the enemy has to initiate this coz he has no moves that does). but when he does get into ex-mode hes hard to beat. his attacks are quick and his hp attacks are hard to dodge if your not used to it.

he doesnt have any lvl90-100 exclusives. the snowpetal set i use for him uses hat and clothing so i had to buy lores to allow him to equip them. you can get snowpetal stuff from lvl90-120 colosseum. and the lores from story mode.

the only way to unlock higher lvl equip is by trading. u can get materials for trades from the colosseum too.

i think you can make lvl92 equips from stuff you get at the lvl61-90 colosseum. yes i hate pandemonium =.= . worst map to play ultemicia (cant use knights arrow,tap) but its a good place to fight with the emperor (light crest spam). the most important equipment you need would be your weapon and gloves. before i got my lvl99-100 equips i used dragon and imp sets at the lvl90-120. since the treasures that appear are never what you need just go for megalixirs to make a 99 shield or helm. armor should be last since even if you do get 9999 hp its useless if u have low defense/bravery and get broken easily. you can make up for damage by staying in exmode (its the only option left since the stat bonus lvl120+ opponents have make ur damage laughable).

heres a tip. ai never evades when it gets chased into banish traps (ceiling of ultemicias castle for example. woot for knights axe ^^)

Yeah High Block is easier to use..... But i do prefer Omni Block because even covers your Back side.... Especially Moves that easily Guard Breaks ExDeath's Shield.....

thats wierd. u can block all his brave with high block. you can block the 1st few hits from scarlet rain and soul of oblivion too. and u just dodge out on the hp hit (sword coming down and last big ball of fire xD). i just dodge out of demondances way but i do have a problem with soul of oblivion (sometimes i cant cast vaccum wave fast enough to cancel it).

I hate it when chaos hits with demondance and has shiryu cast bravery freeze.

golbez eh? go genji. its the usual set for most characters. xept for tidus and zidane its best they use adamant. ah and snowpetal for exdeath. "Turtle!"

i played a bit with WoL and had him wear defensive accessories. he was a damn tank xD. Exclusive weapon +15% def, Maximillian +20% phys def and any 99 helm with helm adept on. for accesories use the ones that give 5% def and 10% physical and magic def and the rest modifiers (best use ones like aftersummon,for opponent and urself, large gap in hp,large gap in bravery, near death) and have Center of the World and Close to You so you can go into exmode without much difficulty. but u can switch those 2 for more modifiers though the only good ones left would be In Ex-mode which kinda sucks since u dont stay long in it without ex build accesory sets.

if only i had someone else to make lvl99 antiques with. there was a set where 2 pcs give 2%def/atk and 3pcs would give negative effects. then id have 15% 2% 2% 20%(phys) def modifier set.

I got this game, it's pretty badass. Since all the other FF games are soley based around a certain amount of characters and turn battle system, having a huge selection of the characters and just fighting it out is awesome! Favorite characters are Squall, Cloud, and Sephiroth. But their all good if you know how to use them. The only thing I didn't like about this game was Clouds character XD His lines in the story, which consist of like 5 words, takes 2 minutes to say.

But yeah, anybody who doesn't have this game, get it. It's awesome.

onion knight lvl 100 is the best...he has a sick branch of attacks...where almost all if not all his bravery attacks can be combo'd into hp attacks and if u get good with him u can take out inward chaos easy with him...i did..i had the most trouble with him when using cloud but after i switched to onion knight nd got him to max out everything (no exclusive items) it was a piece of cake

I mained Tidus, cuz he's awesome with his speed and dodge attacks. Cecil cuz he's good with comboing Bravery with HP and Terra, cuz Gravity+Meteor+Holy+Flare+Ultima=pwnage (especially in ex mode), and besides, mages are ftw.
