I think there is a same topic like this one. Nice suggestion. It is good to see if someone quoted your post so that you can reply to him/her. I just check mine manually and sometimes I got bored in doing it and I think it is too inconvinient to check all your post again. We can see it in our notifications if someone else quoted our posts. I will support you in this one.

Done. Go to Settings > General Settings > Quote Notification > Select Private Message > Save Changes

Everytime someone quotes you, you will receive a Private Message Notification

No it is not. It is more specific than subscribing ot a thread since you will know if somebody quoted your post already. In the subscribing a thread you will just be notify if someone posted in that thread.
