a few days after i've registered to OS and i can see that it has a great, humble and friendly community and all but i think it would be good perhaps if...

a. upgrade the chat box
::choose this option if you want the chat box to somehow improve. coz it has poor refreshing and yea... poor refreshing ability

b. get a new chat box
::if you chose this, please post a suitable chat box you want to replace it with ;D

c. transfer it somewhere
::when i mean transfer it somewhere, well... i've noticed that the chat's not that noticed and not many people go there ._." i kinda suggest that the chat box will *always* appear (in forum, profile, homepage) i hope you get my point as im a lousy explainer o_O"

here are some pictures to hopefully understand what i mean
maybe put it...

here? (http://img25.imageshack.us/i/92810887.jpg/)
or there?? (http://img18.imageshack.us/i/86089803.jpg/)

d. mix and match the above options
:: upgrade and transfer? get new and transfer? upgrade and get a new one? or upgrade, get new and transfer? (eh...?)

this is what i think guys... in my opinion, the community will grow even more if many will go to the chat box

but if you have any more suggestions, comments, questions, objections, violent reactions, feel free to post >,< various critiques are welcome

I chose "a" because... yep (as stated above) xD

I was kinda leaning towards "c" but... not everyone goes on chat because were scared to talk(myself for example, didn't actually talk in chat until 3-4months after joining xD).

I can suggest a way for people to go to chat ^^; The "announcements" with a picture could drag people into the chat box >;D I always read that thread every time I open OS... Maybe because of the picture K(Bindu1000) always puts ^^; Well thats my suggestion.

Hmmmm .... we love it when our members give us suggestions to improve .. at least we know someone cares. However, sadly we do have some limitations
- If we reduce the refresh rate to make it faster, it will increase the number of request the server has to respond for every user, thus increasing our CPU usage.
we tried that one a couple of months ago and it ended up with the host shutting us down temporarily

We also tried a really cool flash chat sometime in February but that too increased our CPU usage and the host shut the chat down

Right now we have 6 video hosts and one main host which are our priority and operating at almost max and we cannot afford to take any chances since we are barely surviving right now.

However we can look at placing the chat in a more prominent position, once the changes we are currently working on are completed :1:

okay, i understand now^_^
now i just want the chat to be noticed. just like kuyah said, not everyone goes to the chat. sometimes i see people in it, which is good. but i always go to the chat and it's always emptyyy

thanks for noticing the suggestion bindu-san :D
