What did you think was the most touching confession of love in an anime?
For me it was Haji's to Saya in Blood plus and the one int Fruits Basket

- Risa to Otani in Lovely Complex
- Hirose to Kohinata in H2O Footprints In The Sand
- Takaki to Akira in 5 Centimeters Per Second (not really a confession, but it's enough to burst your heart strings)
- Noe to Shiichiro in True Tears (unspoken confessions are the best)

Planetes, the final episode...
The couple are in space and play that japanese word game, the main character uses it to propose, the girl loses the game by saying yes (un)... the series ends perfectly after that showing the lives of everyone throught the show.
The best ending to any anime I have every seen.

Yeah, definitely, Toradora's confessions get my vote as well, especially Ryuuji to Taiga with a "marry me" and "this is my wife" introduction to his relatives... That is one guy who knows exactly who he wants - period.

I just found an even better confession (although it's between two girls) it takes place in the last 5 minutes of Maria-sama ga Miteru Season 4, between Touko and Yumi. Really, really touching. I can't wait for season 5 next year ... desu~

BTW if you watch this series you have to start from the beginning or else season 4 makes no sense at all and becomes a giant spoiler for the earlier seasons of the show ... just a warning ....

Oh oh best confession ever for me is when Otani as dense as he is finally confessed to Risa (Lovely Complex) on her birthday, gave her a lovely gift and even kissed her but still Risa didn't quite get that. XD (ohh its fun to watch dense couples who are in love XD)

And as for me, I prefer that guys should confess to girls coz you know they're the man and they should be man enough to tell their feelings though I think that girls could also do it. But then I grew up in a place where it doesn't look good when girls are the first ones to confess so yeah I prefer the guys. :3 XD

I like the confession in Angel Beats. It was really emotional! ou can see in the ending that Kanade and otonashi really loved each other.
