i got this problem with my brother or the rest of the family
its actually the internet connections
does the streaming bother the other networks ?
we are using a router and im using a wireless laptop
cause my brother keeps on saying that its my fault because he cant get in his game
like he cant connect
the question :
is it really me >streaming anime or the router or internet 's fault?

To be honest, I get that a lot by my cousin >w> and yeah.. so I don't think its you. I used to play an MMORPG(Maple) or another game called CS(Counter-strike) and cousin was using his laptop at the same time. He would complain that his connection is slow blahblahblah but when I went on, it was usually because he didn't clean/defrag after downloading so much >w> .. so thats my personal experience/opinion. ^^;
But then again I can be wrong(when you mention streaming) so wait for the pro's answer(gods of this site and can smite those who displease them) quote from solidoxygen ^^;

As I read it you have a 268kb/s connection, it is not a lot, so you streaming could affect his ability to play his online game... however he should only be affected while you are buffering and anyways his gaming would cause excatly the same problem for you.
Your brother just have to learn that anime is more important than gaming ^^

Yup. Probably your router. When I lived with my brother, I'd be upstairs streaming thousands of videos and he'd be downstairs doing the same thing and downloading music.
Then my mom would be in the next room on the Internet and everything would be running smoothly.

I know this is an older post but if anyone else has issues like this check to see where you currently have your wireless router located. If its on the floor or near the corner of a wall or next to something that is metal... it could alter your signal strength which could in turn effect everyone who happens to be using wireless. Found that out not to long ago. 3 desk tops and 3 laptops and 1 router. My router was on the floor in the corner of a room on the first floor (4/6 computers on second floor) and the router was next to a piece of metal furniture. I moved it and my signal increased dramatically.

Its nobody's fault...we use same here 1 IP used by 2 laptops via router....get the plan of you ISP with higher MBPS or what ever the term is used for net speed.
