I think this world is always making us dissatisfied and wanting more and more stuff and there is always something to do or to stress us out. Different people have different problems so I thought I would start a thread that hopefully will make people stop and realise that there are some things or moments we can be truely grateful for
For me
1) Some weekends when I wake up early and manage to finish up my chores early and realise that I have 3-4 hrs where I have absolutely nothing to do. I just lay on the floor next to my stereo, close my eyes and listen to my music, totally at peace with myself and the world. I know that there are millions in the world who are unable to have this time to themselves and I am truly grateful.
2) My books. When life gives me more than I can handle, I shut out the world and read and am truly grateful this love of reading was installed in me and for at least 3-4 hrs, I can forget the problems waiting for me
3) Finally (and this is funny) I am gratefuful to CR for going nuts and making me search for another site and thereby introducing me to OS!!! And with OS - meeting some absolutely great people and making two wonderful friends in both Chiva and Jim.

I'm so otaku for saying this, but it's so true.
I'm a very depressed person. I don't have depression, but I do get down easily. And nothing usually can get me out of my sadness. That is, until, I turn on my computer, go to OS, and find out that one of my favorite anime series just updated (lets just say K-on as an example). I wait for it to upload, my happiness rising as I prepare a small snack. As soon as I get back, the video is loaded, and I watch. I laugh at the hilarity, and it brings up my mood. And I wouldn't be able to do that without OS. In all seriousness, if I hadn't found OS, my love of anime would've died and I probably would become suicidal.

Glad You Guyz Are Normal......... its hard being a "BIPOLAR" Sometimes when i laugh i suddenly turn Sad ... My friends noticed it and comforted me ......... "its really hard"...
because of the show "1 Liter of Tears" I instantly know the hardest experience one could have in living .... and that's normality ... T_______________________________________T

We usually tend to focus on the negative aspect in life. Its good to just pause and reflect on the things we have that we are grateful.
1) Even though I rarely express it, I am grateful for my family.
2) I am grateful that OS was made, I have met a lot of new friendly and interesting people, especially K.
3) For the mistakes I made, I am glad I have a chance to make it right.
4) I am grateful for the little things I have to make my life comfortable. Just to simplify to shorten the list ;)

hmm i am grateful for
1. my new life... although its still all unstable and lots of holes to fill, i will do my best to even things out.
2. the light, for showing me the emptiness that i never thought existed. its tough to face but thats life.
3. pillars, both old and new, for helping me stand tall when everything seemed crumbling down.
4. kaleidoscope, when the present has nothing to offer i just peek and twist, the colors and shapes makes me forget my troubles.
5. the opportunity to be courageous, i pray i dont screw this one up lol

I have the tendency to be pessimistic and I'm grateful for...
1. Family, best friend and friends who is there to encourage and gives lifetime advices.
2. Music and books to relieve depression and stress, addition to that is OS xD.
3. The will and determination to be optimistic, and
4. for the mistakes and failures for it gives valuable lessons and can be an inspiration to do what is best in life.

Putting the obvious things aside, family, friends, love and the other things we normally tend to take for granted.
I'm thankful for the beautiful moments that really moves my heart, may it be a gesture, a smile or simply a breath taking display of nature's beauty.
I'm thankful for the state of tranquility I achieve while doing my road-work, my number one way of clearing my mind.
I'm thankful for the life I'm being allowed to live, the chance to reach out for my dreams not being burdened by the wills or quirks of others.
And lastly but not least I'm thankful for OS

Here's what I'm grateful for
I'm grateful for the roof that I have over my head and the food that I get to eat everyday.
And of course, I'm grateful for the admins here at OS who, with their hard work and dedication, have made this wonderful site.

In a very general statement, I'm thankful for everything that doesn't make me angry or upset.
After all, if you feel like crying or smashing something/someone to pieces with a baseball bat, that's definitely not an enjoyable sensation or situation to be in.
Really, contentment is my primary goal in life, and everything that I try to accomplish to get there is a number of smaller goals supporting the larger.

I'm grateful that OS accepted me...(for some various reasons)
and I'm grateful that God still cared about me although I'm a sinner and something like that..
-for my family, even if I didn't get the same rank again, they still loved me, and care about me...(I always scared and cry if my exam mark got 6 or below! scared if my mother will be angry)
-for my friends (also for some various reasons)

I'm thankful for the moments....
that I can use the computer for myself....
that my mom hadn't scold me....
that I can bond with my "STUPID" friends...
that I am alone at home....
that I can wake up the time that I wanted to...
that I'm not humiliated....
that I can be an otaku...

I am grateful for all the love and the people I'm blessed with in my life. Sometimes it's easy to start to think I can just exist on my own, but I couldn't.

human kind is a sadistic kind..
..always wanting for more and better things..
....its already good so why make it more powerful(like PC and so)..
..not like animals.
.
.so what I'm great full for..
.
.all the time i can spent with other people..
...i was once with a lot around me but that changed so
.....I'm quite happy when I'm just with someone who does remember/knows me
......its something stupid but when your once alone for a hell of time you may understand me...
.every time i can sleep on the cold floor in my class room..
..while listening to music..
...and my teacher doesn't scold me for it..
....cos their not there or cant see me..muahaha..
.every time i can sleep as long as i want..
..cos of school and part time i don't really have one whole day free..
....so when i can sleep as much as i want while listening to music..
......its just like heaven for me..
.and I'm great full to shinji...
..CR..
....for deleting licensed animes..
......and selling he's ideas for money..
........because that caused me to go out for a search..
.........and at the end of that search was a light..
..........a light just made for otakus..
...........a light that's sends streams..
............just for people like me..
.............like us
........
...

I'm so grateful for my mom.
She doesn't order me to shut the computer off and do my chores when I'm watching anime.
Well... I do tell her that its for educational value so I think that she falls for it..hehehehe

although I agree with the others that life is boring I dont think I'm really dissatisfied...just bored with it I guess....
but there are moments when I was also grateful:
-the time my sisters son was born
-during new year of 2009
-when I go to serve for the choir I joined

So much. I don't even know where to start. I'm thankful:
1. For having such a wonderful family.
2. For having a roof over my head, a hot dinner and a warm bed at night.
3. For my education.
4. For my friends.
5. For those who've hurt me in the past.
6. For OS - tbh, if it wasn't for anime, I'd be a huge troublemaker.
7. For a country where war doesn't rage.
8. For a safe community.
Those are my mains. Haha.

I hope I have the same mom with you snoozy. I guess I cannot fool my mom. hahahaha.
There is one spefic moment that I am grateful. It happens to me when I am 1st year. I became a 3rd honor for that year but nobody expect me to accomplish that thing.
I am thankful when
I have many free time.
I woke up every morning and I am still alive
my family and friends cheer me up when I have problems or when I am sad.

I have one more thing to be grateful for ...
My pets. They give me hours and hours of amusement and they love me unconditionally and considering I have no family, they are always there to joyfully greet me when I come home, which makes me feel that at least there is someone who is happy to see me :4:

Well, I could start a list I guess, now that I think of it.
Moments I am grateful for...
1. When I get to hang out with my best friend. She's pretty busy, but I enjoy the times we get to hang out. Even if we aren't doing anything at all.
2. When I am being creative, and inspiration is actually flowing.
3. When my jokes are appreciated and someone laughs. Even if only one person gets the obscure reference, it makes me happy.
4. When I get a message from one of my friends. I like sitting down and replying to them, and then waiting for their reply in return.
5. When I get done with my obligations for the day, so I can sit back, do whatever, and maybe watch anime.
6. When Homestuck gets updated.

Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. so I was thinking about what people are most thankful for.
For people that don't know what Thanksgiving is, it's a day that occurs every fourth Thursday in November where Americans stuff themselves with excessive amounts of food.(read the wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_(United_States)) for details)
So I'll begin, I'm grateful for all the admins and donators that make it possible to keep up OS ^^
