And I had thought that 13 was supposed to be the last one....
It seems that 14 is actually going to be like 11.
An MMORPG....

Shocking news! Isn't it?
XIII still hasn't came out and the XIV is already annouced.
I've never play an MMORPG but since it's final fantasy I'm going to live with it. :)

PSN is shorth for playstation network, it is an online shop accessible through the ps3.. You can download various of things there; old games, demos, game addons, movie trailers and various other things
Sorry if I was a bit unclear in my previous statement ^^

I think it will happen, just not before the full release of Fabula Nova Crystalis Final Fantasy XIII (at the very least).
They have been working on for so long, annouced it for so long therfore nothing is going to stop them now.
Furhtermore, they at least still have to work on the release of the remakes of FFV and FFVI. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe they still haven't released it yet. And then there's still Kingdon Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Square Enix still have these to deal with before they can get anywhere near the remake of FFVII.

They're probably already working on it, but keeping it top secret, unlike the PSP Go. xD

I also want a remake of FFVIII.. first time they really made use of natural looking graphics. The story and combat system was good.. and it was romantic (I was such a sucker for that part^^)

I don't think they'd remake FF8 any time soon, they're still remaking FF5 and FF6, plus they're working on new projects. But it would be nice to have updated graphics on FF8, the GFs would look Sweet. ^_^

I know.. I was just being silly, because infact I'd rather that they'd make new games instead of rmk'ing the old ones, they kinda loose the "wow" effect they had when you played them the first time.
A perfect example is Tomb Raider Anniversary I remember when I as a little kid played the original one with my jaw hanging all the way down my chest. I still liked the remake.. but games just can't give you that surge of exitement when an unforseen developement happens more than once, the second time you play through a game it is due to gameplay or nostalgia, not that it is bad at all.. but honestly when I remember games that I have played I remember the ones that wow'ed me ff8 and tomb raider are some of those. I don't think any rmk would ever be able to give me the same rush as the orignial simply because I know what is going to happen..

But then the remake adds more content or more storyline, and usually updated graphics. So some remakes aren't so bad. For me the Disgaea DS port actually gave me more of a rush playing it, even though the graphics were actually downgraded a bit and the VA was basically cut out, but the added content just kept me going! #<(^_^)># <--Waffles anyone?

I'm not really sure if anyone else remembers, but I remember seeing a magazine a long time ago stating that they will not stop making final fantasy stilll XXIV. But this could all be talk, and the magazine was in the 90's so...I honestly do not know where they intend to stop, but I hope it's never.
Too bad its for PS3. I wish it was for the PC >_< :31:
It would make a lot of sense to just make it a cross platform game. You know how awesome that would be?

I think people will have to pay for playing online, and since this game will be an MMORPG.... (I'm not sure about it)
I would like to have the oportunity to play FF7, 8 and 9....
Cheers

14 will be a pay as you go type deal unlike the 11 wich was monthly subsription. Basicaly you buy 30 days and only use it while your online.
how 11 was it is a ever evolving game with thousands of missions and quest as well as side quest. They will release countless expansions over time to make sure thier is always something new for the consumers. 11 had 4 expansions I think that came out.
