You imagine how a character is and have more of a personal stake when you read a manga then when you watch an anime ex.when reading a manga you imagine how the characters sound whereas in an anime you can't do that

1. you don't waste energy.
2. improves your reading.
3. its tells more than the anime.
4. it tells what is going to happen in the future.
5. it is portable.
6. its fun.
